HELLO.
thought i should give a report on yesterday's CCA SELECTION.

to our amazement, our booth was swarmed. audition scripts werent enough and we even had to give up our main copies, how nice. thanks to the very very stingy MR CHAI, we only get a quota of 10 girls and 3 boys (what the).

but it was kinda cool still, right people? we got the good ones. quality, not quantity.
my friends from ug said they had to come over to our booth to snatch the sec ones who are waiting for their turn to audition. well, our booth was never empty, i must say. and despite failed attempts, some re-tried our auditions.

all of them rated the how-badly-do-you-want-to-join-ed question 8-10((:

also, the script being written by Gayle, Junni, Eunice. main idea coming from sec2s and sec3s (2007)
and our very very very hardworking publicity heads who always work silently, Celestine and LinYu. also thanks to Shi Min and Siew Ting who always took time out to contribute. be it the helium balloons or the damn big banners, i sincerely thank you all. our sec2s for wanting to contribute by making masks, but due to the lack of funds were unable to do it.
and our very quiet but hardworking treasurer, Shi Min who has been daily keeping the records of the funds. it has been quite a hard period for her to chase people for money as the ED fund is kinda in loads of debts. so, people pay up!
the very very very fun bunch of Exco who help you all do the sparklers, set up booth, hang banners, clean the storeroom, go ikea to look for furniture, ask their parents/friends for furniture that they no longer want for our storeroom and all the little little things that you may never see, but are super important.
LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT THE LEAST, every ediot who has sacrificed their voice to cheer on that day, talk to the secones on that day, acted real cool on that day... etc. YOU GUYS ROCK!

but i want to apologise for not letting the sectwos come cos Mrs Rod didnt want too many people there. she only wanted the committee but i wanted more people so i asked the sec3s to come along as they wil soon be your new leaders. Hope you guys forgive me.

hmm, but most importantly, next monday there will be ED! from 3-5.
syf will have syf practice. the rest i think will try out for a competition coming up. the National Drama Competition 2007. this year's theme is about breaking generation gaps and showing nation spirit. so JIAYOUS ok? the secones will be joining us soon, and they are quite a strong batch of sec ones so you all must buck up hahaha. oh yes, not forgetting, please behave lol. absence from CCA is counted as truency, so you better be there!
announcement from the treasurer: we are collecting Jan funds starting from next year, so bring 10 bucks on monday (and the money you owe). the funds collected each month may vary, but we are really in need of money now, thats the reason for the 10 bucks. hope you guys understand.

well, its a new year.
to the sec2s: mug hard and get into the stream you want!
to the sec3s: mug hard too, sec3 is a real tough year when everything seems to come crashing down all of a sudden. you guys are soon going to be the next batch of leaders... and CCA leaders are supposed to be "role models in serving and leading" famous words of Mr Chua! so aza aza! i know you guys can do it!
to the sec4s: its been a real real enriching experience to work with you all and though there are many erm differences among us, i really think i couldnt ask for a better team of people to work with. thank you for putting up with me and thank you for every little thing that you have done or sacrificed for ed. chiong this year, exorcise the "SLACK" spirit. for those trying for DSA, every common test is important. for those who are losing hope, dont give up! you know you can do it. i know you can do it too. exco, all the way!
